These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your use of the services provided by Ferndale Movers (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By engaging with our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Services Provided
Ferndale Movers offers a range of moving services including, but not limited to:
- Local Movers
- Long-Distance Movers
- Commercial Movers
- Residential Moving
- Moving and Storage
All services are subject to availability, and the specific terms for each service may vary. We reserve the right to update or change our service offerings at any time.
2. Service Booking
To book a move, clients must provide accurate details regarding their moving needs, including the origin, destination, and type of service required. The booking confirmation will be sent once the move is scheduled, including a detailed list of services, costs, and moving dates. Clients must confirm all details before proceeding with payment.
3. Payment Terms
- Deposit: A deposit may be required at the time of booking. The deposit amount will be stated at the time of booking confirmation.
- Full Payment: Full payment for services is due before or upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed upon. Payment may be made via credit card, debit card, check, or other methods specified by Ferndale Movers.
- Late Fees: Late payments may be subject to additional fees.
4. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fees. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled move will incur a cancellation fee, which will be communicated at the time of cancellation.
- Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule your move, we will do our best to accommodate you, based on availability. Rescheduling requests must be made 48 hours prior to the scheduled move time.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- Accurate Information: It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate information regarding the move, including the type of items to be moved and their condition.
- Packing: While we offer packing services, it is the customer’s responsibility to pack certain items (e.g., hazardous materials, perishable goods) in accordance with regulations. A list of non-movable items can be provided upon request.
- Access and Property: The customer must ensure clear access to the moving premises. Any delays caused by restricted access or issues beyond our control (such as blocked driveways, building regulations, etc.) may incur additional charges.
- Valuables: Customers are advised to keep valuables, cash, documents, and other sensitive items with them during the move. We are not responsible for any loss or damage to such items.
6. Liability and Insurance
Ferndale Movers takes all reasonable precautions to protect your belongings during the move. However, we are not responsible for any damage or loss of goods unless directly caused by our negligence. We provide basic insurance for items in transit, which covers certain damages. Additional coverage options are available for valuable items, and customers are encouraged to purchase extended insurance if needed.
- Damages: If an item is damaged during the move, the customer must notify us within 24 hours of the completion of the move.
- Liability: Our liability for damages or loss is limited to the value of the damaged or lost item, up to the amount specified in the insurance policy.
7. Prohibited Items
The following items cannot be moved by Ferndale Movers:
- Hazardous materials (e.g., chemicals, propane tanks, flammable liquids)
- Perishable food
- Pets and live animals
- Firearms and explosives
- Personal and confidential documents
- Any items deemed illegal or prohibited by law
Please ensure that these items are removed from the moving inventory prior to the move date.
8. Delays and Force Majeure
We strive to ensure that all moves are completed on time. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as weather, traffic, accidents, or other unforeseen events (Force Majeure). In such cases, Ferndale Movers will not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms and Conditions will be resolved through informal negotiations. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of [arbitration body or jurisdiction].
10. Privacy and Data Protection
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal information you provide to us, such as contact details, addresses, and payment information, will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
